Russia has been waging war on Ukraine for 50 days today, and shows no signs of stopping. If anything, things are getting worse.
In a major setback, Russia's navy’s Black Sea Fleet flagship, Moskva, sank after a fire, possibly caused by a powerful new Ukrainian missile. Russia denies Ukraine had anything to do with it, but soon after ramped up attacks on Kyiv, hitting a major defence factory. An official statement from the Kremlin warned of further attacks, ostensibly to avenge recent attacks by Ukraine on Russian border towers. Ukraine denies it has anything to do with alleged attacks.
Across the pond, the CIA felt compelled to come out and warn that Russian President Vladimir Putin could order the use of a tactical or low-yield nuclear weapon out of “potential desperation” to extract the semblance of a victory.
Around the same time, chillingly, Russia threatened to deploy nuclear weapons in in Kaliningrad, practically the centre of Europe, if Finland and Sweden join NATO—which they are seriously considering.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also made it very clear: Moscow will not abide by a 'no-first use' policy when it comes to nuclear weapons.

AL-AQSA ATTACKED, AGAIN
At least 117 Palestinians were injured and over a hundred more arrested, after Israeli security forces raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem while thousands of Palestinians were gathered to offer their pre-dawn Ramzan prayers. Watch what the third holiest site in Islam looked like this morning:
Israel's government says violence began after Palestinian activists and Hamas terrorists allegedly entered the compound waving Palestinian Authority flags, throwing stones and setting off fireworks.
Which is exactly what the government said last year, during Ramzan, when Israeli forces raided Al Aqsa when Palestinians had congregated to pray.
